Wow... do you ever have that day where it's just kind blah... you had a rough time with the printer this morning, you dropped your new phone and broke it, and then you locked yourself out of the office? Ya.. that has been my morning.
BUT, there is always a rainbow at the end of a storm...
I was EXTREMELY blessed to be able to photograph a wedding on August 2nd 2008 for Kasi and Jimmy. She was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL bride, and he was a handsome groom. It was such a beautiful, simple, elegant ceremony. She was so organized, and had planned every detail right down to the candy bar/table for the children at her reception.
I was finally able to finish going through all the photos we shot at her wedding ( there was a ton!! ) and put a private website up for her. I emailed her the site, and instantly I got emails from her.. OMG, I am not half way through and I love them, thank you so much.. etc...
It makes me feel so good when I am able to capture such a beautiful day in a way that will make the bride and groom cry with tears of joy.
It's emails, comments, and words from brides like that, which make me love my job even more. I get to be a part of someones big day, I get to be "behind the scenes" and see the bridal party all pull together to put the bride in her beautiful gown, I get to see the groom play it cool when you know deep inside he is nervous, the bride squishing into the back of an SUV so we can go get the "perfect shot". I get to see the last peck on daddy's cheek before he walks his daughter down the aisle... How awesome is my job???
Anyways, I wanted to pass along a comment that Kasi posted under yahoo reviews.. it really really made my day, and will probably fill me with smiles for the rest of the week.
I absolutely LOVE Amanda, and Lindley's Photography!!!! I got married 08/02/08 and I could not have asked for a better photographer! She does incredible work, and has the best personality. So friendly and willing to work with you, her creativity is amazing! My husband and I were extremely pleased on our wedding day and felt completely at ease with Amanda and Trish. They really impressed our bridal party as well...everyone loved them! We are more than satisfied with results from our special day! I highly recommend Lindley's Photography :) Thank you so much for making our Wedding Day so wonderful!
